📘 Beta Program Policy – Early Access Program (EAP)

1. Overview

The Early Access Program (“Program”) provides selected customers with access to pre-release versions of the iConfig Hardware Inventory Discovery Agent (“App”) for evaluation, testing, and feedback.

The Program is designed to:

  • Validate product functionality and usability

  • Identify defects and performance issues

  • Test across different environments and configurations

  • Evaluate operational and cost models, including Forge-based consumption

Participation in the Program implies active collaboration with iDev.

2. Beta Status

The App is provided as a Beta (Early Access) product.

As such:

  • Features may be incomplete or subject to change

  • The App may contain bugs or performance limitations

  • Functionality may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time

No guarantee is provided regarding stability, availability, or feature completeness.

3. Use in Production and Testing Recommendations

Use of the App in production environments is permitted but not recommended for critical operations.

To reduce risk during the Program, participants are strongly encouraged to:

  • Use a sandbox or non-production environment

  • Test using a separate or newly created Assets schema, rather than existing production structures

  • Avoid using sensitive, regulated, or business-critical data

Participants acknowledge that use in production environments is at their own discretion and risk.

4. Support Model

Support during the Program is provided on a best-effort basis.

This may include:

  • Direct communication channels with the iDev team

  • Prioritized handling of critical issues when feasible

No formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) applies during the Beta period.

5. Feedback and Participation

Participants are expected to:

  • Provide feedback on functionality, usability, and performance

  • Report bugs and unexpected behavior

  • Participate in periodic check-ins if requested

Feedback provided may be used by iDev to improve the App without restriction.

6. Participation Tiers and Commercial Conditions

To recognize different levels of engagement, participants may be classified into Beta Participation Tiers (e.g., Explorer, Contributor, Founding Customer). https://idevsolucoes.atlassian.net/wiki/x/WQAtmw

  • Participation alone does not guarantee commercial benefits

  • Eligibility for preferential pricing or limited-time discounts is based on active and meaningful participation

Participation may be evaluated based on:

  • Consistency of usage

  • Use across real or representative environments

  • Quality and relevance of feedback provided

iDev reserves the right to assess participation in a reasonable and good-faith manner.

⚠️ The number of participants classified as Founding Customers is limited.

Following General Availability (GA):

  • Eligible participants may receive preferential pricing or early customer benefits

  • Pricing models may be adjusted based on insights gathered during the Program

7. Changes and Termination

iDev may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time.

Where reasonably possible, iDev will provide prior notice (generally up to 90 days) for:

  • Significant changes affecting usage

  • Program termination

8. Transition to General Availability

At the end of the Program:

  • The App may transition to a fully supported and potentially paid offering

  • Participants will be informed of next steps and available options
